Al Tarif Parboiled Basmati Rice

Al Tarif® Parboiled Basmati Rice takes all the guesswork out of cooking perfect rice. Parboiled with the husk on, this rice is a creamy white color and has more iron, protein and a heartier taste than regular basmati. After just a few minutes of simmering, the grains expand and elongate to a size and length that presents beautifully on a plate. For pilaf, curries and great for foodservice, this rice is easy, quick and delicious, time after time.
1 cup of Al Tarif® Parboiled Basmati Rice
1¾ cups of water
1 tbsp. of oil/butter (optional)
pinch of salt (optional)
Stove Top: Take 1 cup of Al Tarif® Parboiled Basmati Rice and soak for 2 hours, then drain. Boil 1¾ cups of water. Pour drained rice into the boiling water. Once cooking starts, stir gently and cover with lid. Simmer for 12-15 minutes or until all the water has been fully absorbed. Once the cooking process is complete, leave the cooked rice in the pan for 5 minutes. Serve.
Electric Rice Cooker: Take 1 cup of Al Tarif® Parboiled Basmati Rice and rinse twice to remove starch. Place rice and water in an electric rice cooker. Cover the cooker, turn it on, and cook. Fluff with fork and serve.
